Monday Feb. 24 – Sunday March 2

0 miles

Back to sunny Florida safe and sound. We found the boat in the same condition as we left her thanks to our friends (Mike, Ed, Elaine, Jim, & Rhonda) who looked after her while we were gone. It was easy to slip back into our routine of boat cleaning or maintenance, bike riding or walking, fishing, visiting with old and new friends, or just vegging out reading a book.

Thursday we met my sister Deb & her husband Jim in Key West for the day. They took a ferry from Ft. Myers and we took the bus down.

We have a grandson named Dante so we had to try out this place. (very good food)

Saturday they had the 8th annual pig races at a local restaurant which is called the Stuffed Pig. You know we had to check this out. What a hoot!!! They had 3 heats with different types of pigs that you could bet on. All the money went to charity. We were told that no pig would be harmed (or eaten) during the festivities.

Race track

These are Asian fat belly pigs. This race took a long time.
These pigs don't run they barely walk.
