Miles 56     Port Sheldon to St. Joe, MI

We are finally on our way. The lines were cut at 0709. My sister Deb came out to take photos of our departure. First stop St. Joseph Michigan. There was a blue sky and flat water, which made it a perfect start to our adventure. With the water being so flat we had time to clean some of the coal dust off the boat. Along the way we past by 2 of our favorite ports. (Saugatuck and South Haven) We arrived in St. Joe at 1225 to see the first lighthouse that was built on Lake Michigan. After getting fuel we tied up on the wall to spend the night.
After walking thru town we stopped by the band shell right on the water front for some free music (folk/rock n roll). One song they sang was about dreaming. “If you dream it and want it, you will get it”. So True!!!
