Wednesday Sept. 11
74 miles Pebble Island to Swallow Bluff Island mm#169.3
We left Pebbled Isle Marina at 0950. The predicted weather
today was 88 degrees and partly cloudy. The first several miles along the river
was very peaceful with a lot of little islands dotting the way.
Then the scenery gave way to more limestone cliffs. One in
particular is Lady Finger Bluff which was formed when the river carved a path through
this area.
We also started to see more houses along this stretch of the
river. At least you don’t have to worry about mowing any grass here.
I’m not sure what these stairs were for. Maybe this is where
the song Stairway to Heaven came from?
Our anchorage for the night is called Swallow Bluff
Island . We arrived at
1745, set the anchor and had dinner.
This is looking off the front of the boat.

P.S.
I had to add this picture for my brother Bob. He owns a Heating and Cooling business in Michigan. How would you like to work on these AC units?
It was so good to talk to you yesterday, I am so happy that your weather has been great and you are having a fabulous time.........love you and hope to talk soon..
