7 miles   1000 – 1115   Calsdesi Island to Clearwater Beach, FL.

We left Caladesi Island in a light rain and 75 degrees. By the time we arrived at Clearwater Marina FL the rain had quit. The day stayed cloudy but no more rain. After docking we took a walk to the beach which is about a block away. Clearwater Beach is growing very fast with condos and high-rise hotels everywhere. There is something for everyone here for playing/traveling on the water. Wave runners, pontoon boats, fishing charters, dinner cruises, or just something fun.
Jim and Karen (the friends traveling with us) picked up a rental car and showed us around. They used to own a condo in the area.
