The marina we are staying in is called Turtle Cove Marina. The
staff here has been very helpful. There where several at the dock to help us
tie up and then they gave us a tour of the marina. From the office to the club
house to the pool/hot tub area. We also got to meet their marketing manager
Heather.

While in Tarpon Springs we did some exploring. Tarpon
Springs is world famous for sponges. The Gulf water off the west coast of Florida north of Tampa Bay
is one of the few areas of the world where the species of natural sponges suitable
for commercial use are found. The sponge industry dates back to 1890.

Statue in remembrance of all sponge divers that lost their lives.
We took a walk through town and found a local merchant whose
is a 4th generation sponge diver where we bought
some sponges.
