Sunday Nov. 3
1/8 of a mile
Our slip at Dog River Marina for Sat. night was free (normally
$1.00 per foot) with a purchase of 100 gallons of fuel. The neighboring marina
(Turner Marine) charges .56 cents per foot so we moved over there on Sunday.
Randy spent the morning changing out a pump on the fuel polisher and I caught
up on some cleaning and wash. In the afternoon we had some visitors from back
home. My sister and her sister in law were spending a few days in Gulf Shores
so they drove over to see us. It seemed strange to think it has been almost 3
months since we have seen any family. It sure was good to see them.

There is a lady near by the marina that repairs or will make
new canvas for boats. She stopped by at 8:30 this morning to pick up a couple of
our windows that the seams where coming loose. She will take it to her shop and
then return them when she is done. It sure is nice that she will pick up and
deliver since we have no vehicle.
Once she left we had breakfast with our Canadian friends
(Gary and Christelle). Christelle mentioned that she has never tasted biscuits
and gravy so we made it for her. Randy makes the best sausage gravy and I make
the biscuits. After a breakfast like that lunch will be a banana.
New friend on the dock.
