Our 1 day in Chattanooga is turning into 4 days. This weekend right on the waterfront is a Bluegrass music festival.

 

The day started out cloudy then turned sunny and 80 degrees. We took a walk, did some cleaning on the boat, then our neighbors Jim and Belinda invited us to go watch the movie Gravity in 3D. Wow, it was great. It was our first experience watching a movie in 3D and this movie was the perfect one for that.

  

Saturday Oct. 5

We went to check out the festival and listened to the music for a while. There were also several events going on in the water. They had kayak and paddleboard races. First they went upstream about a quarter of a mile (against a 1-2 knot current) then they would turn around and come back.

 

Later we took a walk to a section of town called the Art District. They have several stores to purchase art, a few museums, and a small park where donated sculptures were placed.

 

 This is made out of forged bronze not wood.

 

Back to the boat to grab a bite to eat then back to listen to more music.
