What a day!!! Today we started traveling through the Erie Canal . It started out just fine with a light wind
and overcast sky. By 2:00 the wind picked up and it was getting a little harder
to keep the boat under control in the locks. Most of the locks have a free wall
you can tie up to at night but several of those walls were shut down due to
construction. So after 9 hours and 11 locks we finally got to a place where we
could tie up for the night.

Going into one of the locks.
Several of the locks were so close you could see the next one while still in one.
Lock and Dam.
One Dam from inside a lock.
This is the remains of an original Erie canal aqueduct.
