Christelle picked us up at 9:00 am to start our sight seeing
tour. First she took us to a scenic lookout where we could see the bay our boat
was in. Next we went to the Black River Cheese Factory (where she works) and we
bought some cheese curds. (Yum Yum) After that we went down some country roads
and stopped at a couple of wineries.
Bird House City (park near the marina) consists of 111 birdhouses.
Snapper turtle laying eggs.

Our time here ended way too soon and it was time to say
goodbye to some very dear friends.

We left the marina and headed north up the Bay of Quinte.
Most of the traveling today was through wide bays and rivers. Just outside Trenton is a Canadian Air
Force Base and while we where passing they were doing some practice maneuvers
with skydivers and a helicopter.

Coming up to the first lock.
Lock to the left & dam to the right. (make sure you go the right way)
Lock staff hand crank to open and shut gate doors.
Our day ended at Lock 1 on the Trent Severn waterway. All
the locks offer places to tie up for the night if you purchase a Mooring Pass (the pass is a lot cheaper than
staying at marinas). Some have power which will cost an additional $10 a night.
Most of the lock keepers buildings have restrooms and they will give you a key
to use after hours.
Tied on the wall at Lock 1.
Looking from the boat to our next lock tomorrow. (not all the locks will be this close)
